welp. i just finished brewing my Sunrise Blonde....pitch the yeast out of a wyeast smack pack....and oh no!!  the little activator didn't "deploy"   will this stress the yeast!?  any tips on what i can do.  its too late for me to go to the homebrew shop...i could go in the morning and get more yeast?Huh

I think it will still be ok,just a BIGGER ACTIVATOR than pland.  I always keep a few dry pack in frige for just such times,and they are cheep.  give it a good pep talk..

Give that puppy 72 hours, my friend, before you add more yeast.  As long as it's not a belgian style yeast you should be okay.  Yes it will stress the yeast but you should be fine.  Any off-flavors that develop will fade.  Allow the beer to sit on the primary yeast cake for awhile.  3 weeks from the day it starts to ferment.  That should be plenty of time for the yeast to clean up after itself if there's any cleaning to do.

Good times!  Glad to hear it.  Nothing worse than sitting around for a couple of days getting anxious about why your brew hasn't started fermenting.  Cheesy
